The Fort Recovery Indians took on Valley View Friday but got a huge win on Saturday in a big computer points game for the tribe. After battling Valley View for nearly 3 quarters, the Indians took on mother nature as play suspended for 2 hours due to lightning. Play was resumed at 11:45 pm as the Indians gutted the last 2 minutes plus of the 3rd quarter and 4th quarter. With 38 seconds left to play, the Indians took the lead 27-23. Owen Sheridan intercepted a Spartan pass to seal the deal for the Indians. Clay Schmitz threw for 1 touchdown and rushed for another. Derek Jutte and Jacob Acheson both found the end zone on the ground. Gavin Thobe hauled in 2 passes for 73 yards with one reception tallying another Indian score. Defensively, the Indians were paced by Owen Sheridan’s 17 tackles and his big interception. Owen Schoen added 12 tackles on the night for the purple defense. Riley Pearson also forced and recovered a Valley View fumble.
